I peaked into my pepper plants and found piles of these gorgeous red bells! It's the first time I've ever grown them, and I think I'm in love. I've let green bell peppers ripen to red before, but the usually don't make it that long. This is a variety I started from seed called "Big Red" and they're just lovely!

Now... what to make with these yummy treats?

  1. Roasted red peppers!

Use the roasted peppers on sandwiches (grilled provolone cheese) or make pasta sauce!

  2. Make?!? Why waste perfectly good bell peppers with making anything. Just slice them up and eat them! With lettuce! With ranch dressing! With nothing at all but your dirt-still-under-the-fingernails hands :)
