All This Pounding in the Basement...

Nathan and Jonah are working in the basement today, since it's too rainy to do much outside.

All I've heard all day is bang, bang, pound, and bang.





They're making a root cellar! Nathan built the first of the shelves, and next he's going to wall it off and install vent pipes to help control the temperature.




I harvested some carrots and bagged onions and wrapped tomatoes that are all being stored there already.



So I guess tomorrow, if the sun decides to come out again, I'll dig more carrots and beets and get started on the potatoes. We'll fill those shelves in a hurry, lemme tell ya!
