Need Organize

Nesting is kicking in big time here. I tell ya, the second trimester just beats the pants off the first. I actually have energy and all of a sudden I just can't stand the neglect this house has seen in the last five months.

(Appendectomy + early pregnancy = ack!)

Wall-washing anyone?

Also, is it pathetic that my life is pretty much ruled by hormones? Even when I'm not pregnant, just about the only things that ever have any say are these glandular chemicals in my bloodstream.

Anyway. Apologies to any men who have the misfortune of reading this.

One of my updates was to hang up this fabulous utensil rack that I splurged on at IKEA in Portland. (Yes, I went there. Yes, it was amazing. Yes, I coveted. Non-conformist in me notwithstanding.)

Okay, so I didn't exactly put it up, since I can't seem to do anything that involves hand tools. (Er, I uh, just make it look that way so that my husband will feel manly and needed. Yeah. That.) Nathan sweetly obliged me in the "hanging part". And then he even admitted that it is efficient storage. Anything "efficient" wins his admiration, nevermind how it looks. Anyway, I just love it. It was a good splurge, for sure.

Speaking of IKEA...

In my thirst for organization I've found myself lusting after this:

Oh. Yeeeeeah.

I'm really needing something to bring Jonah's toys and costumes and books and craft stuff into submission. And maybe I wouldn't need something quite that big, but there are lots of options to choose from.

However.

The price tag being what it is ($223.95), I opted instead for a pile of El Cheap-o storage containers that I found on clearance at WallyWorld for $1 each.

It'll have ta dooo.
